Park Circle's EVO Pizzeria is obviously known for its pizza, but they also have a booming bakery business and run Sweeteeth Chocolates. EVO has pumped out a prolific amount of baked goods from the small space behind the restaurant, but it is ready to expand even more. General manager Abe Versprille tells Eater that EVO has secured a larger space in Hanahan to grow the business. Moving the bakery means that the current space can be utilized as a prep kitchen for the pizzeria, which means the restaurant won't have to stop service between lunch and dinner shifts. Late lunchers, rejoice. And with the growth in the Park Circle area, Versprille says EVO will open on Sundays. These changes to the schedule should take place on December 28.
Versprille also tells us that with the bakery moving, they will expand the seating in the back space and offer more sandwich specials, bring in coffee from Kudu, increase the beer and wine list, and use the room as a waiting area and dessert spot for the pizzeria on Wednesdays through Saturdays. This will happen in February. The space will also serve as the retail face of the bakery business.
