EVENTWIRE — Sandwich masters Butcher & Bee invited other sandwich gurus for month-long sandwich swap. Every week in November, stop by B&B to sample menu a new lunch stack from New York’s No. 7 Sub, Portland’s Bunk, or Austin’s Noble Sandwich Co. It's like traveling the great sandwich shops of America, but without buying a plane ticket. B&B shared their pulled squash recipe for the others to share in their cities. [P&C]

DINNERWIRE — Chef Jeremiah Bacon (The Macintosh/Oak Steakhouse) and John Fleer (Rhubarb in Asheville) will host a "piggy bank dinner" to benefit Southern Foodways Alliance (filling up the piggy bank, get it?). The event will be held at The Macintosh on November 17, starting with a cocktail reception at 6:30 p.m. and moving into a multi-course dinner. Expect flavors of the Lowcountry and the Foothills. Tickets are $125 and are available online. [EaterWire]
