First Look at the Trendy Interiors from Newcomer 5Church

Charlotte-based restaurant 5Church opens its Charleston outpost on Friday, November 20, with an updated menu to reflect Lowcountry tastes and a renovated dining room for the previous Mad River Bar & Grill space. The team included some of the same touches from the Charlotte interiors, like elaborate chandeliers, The Art of War transcribed on the ceiling, and edgy art.

The bar is extensive, stain glass windows shine down on the dining room, and the seating is vast. Here, photographer Emma Humphries gets a first look at 5Church before it unlocks the doors tomorrow.

5Church is located at 32B North Market St. and is open seven days a week, starting at 5:00 p.m. The restaurant has plans to add lunch and brunch service soon.
