UPPER KING — The Veuve Clicquot truck rolls into town next Tuesday, October 13, and brings with it a supply of champagne and bubbly fun. Veuve and Charleston Wine + Food pair up to bring a celebration to the William Aiken House, starting at 4:30 p.m. (you can leave work early for champagne, right?). The party also features bites from chefs Michelle Weaver (Charleston Grill), Marc Collins (Circa 1886), Kelly Franz (Magnolias), Jason Rheinwald (The Sanctuary), Nico Romo (Fish), and Matthew Niessner (Halls Chophouse). Tickets are $125 and are available online. NORTH CHARLESTON — Learn the "craft and process of creating live-culture food" with a fermentation workshop on Friday, October 16. From 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m., guests with learn the ins and outs of the funky food preserving technique. But they'll also get to snack on bites from chef Bob Cook (Artisan Meat Share), Bulls Bay Salt Works, and Bedford Cheese Shop, while sipping on beers from Coast Brewing Company. The event is at the brewery and the $40 tickets are available at AMS or Coast. [Facebook]

NORTH CHARLESTON — Music fans will be excited to hear that Nashville-based band JEFF the Brotherhood stops by Coast Brewing on Saturday, October 10 for a rockin' good show. But food fans will be excited to hear that, in addition to the concert, chef Bob Cook and Short Grain food truck are bringing the culinary heat to the Coast grounds. Last we heard, homemade Spam was involved. Spend the $10 to find out. The day starts at 2:00 p.m. and tickets are available online. [Eaterwire]
