EASTSIDE — Want to eat at every amazing restaurant Charleston has to offer in one night and help a worthy charity? Look to attend Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry dinner. Chefs from all over the Lowcountry and guest chef Spike Gjerde will come together at The Cedar Room on October 11, at 6:00 p.m., to offer a multi-course meal for guests in the name of charity. Share Our Strength's No Kid Hungry campaign aims to eliminate childhood hunger in America. Tickets start at $250 (available online) and proceeds go towards this cause. Chefs like The Macintosh/Oak's Jeremiah Bacon, FIG's Jason Stanhope, Two Borough Larder's Josh Keeler, Peninsula Grill's Graham Dailey, McCrady's Daniel Heinze, and many more volunteer their time to make this event one to remember. UPPER KING — On Thursday, October 8, Prohibition chef Greg Garrison presents a six-course dinner paired with Coast Brewing beers in honor of Oktoberfest. For example, Garrison will prepare a Berkshire pork chop with fermented red cabbage, butternut squash and mustard to eat along with a glass of Carnie Fire amber ale. NORTH CENTRAL — Meat master John Lewis brings his "elevated barbecue" to Palmetto Brewing Company on Sunday, October 11, and 5:30 p.m. This will be a five-course meal paired with Palmetto beers. Courses include pecan-smoked duck sausage , beef tongue and oxtail with cipollini onions, and oysters with smoked garlic butter, among others.
