It should be any day now that Poogan's Smokehouse welcomes the public into its porky arms. According to social media, the East Bay "Bar P Que" (the P is presumably for Poogan's) restaurant hosted a soft opening last night.

The Instagram-happy guests to the event blessed us with a preview of the menu. It's full of Southern favorites, like fried chicken and shrimp and grits, smoked meats, and a whole suckling pig.

The former Social Restaurant + Wine Bar space also has a shiny new sign. Keep checking here for info when the doors will swing open.
