UPPER KING — Filmmaker Thibaut Fagonde spent the last four years trying to answer the question "Is sustainable agriculture a viable profession for a farmer?" He explored this query in the fields, kitchens, and boats of the Lowcountry with familiar chefs and farmers like Frank Lee, Sean Brock, Jeremiah Bacon, Craig Deihl, Celeste Albers, Greg Johnsman, and many others. The film Overalls and Aprons shows on Wednesday, October 28, at 7:30 p.m. at The Charleston Music Hall. Tickets are only $10 and include a Q&A session after the film. [EaterWire]

EASTSIDE — The Food Film Festival is back in Charleston with three nights of screenings, starting November 11. The first event will be the world premiere of the Lowcountry episode of Anthony Bourdain: Parts Unknown and will include barbecue from Rodney Scott and a special Waffle House menu from Sean Brock. The second evening features Edible Adventure series featuring the local beer scene and brew-friendly foods. The last night is the infamous Food Porn Party promising "another steamy night of Extreme Eats and Culinary Close-Ups." Ticket prices and times vary. Each screening will be held at The Cedar RoomCheck the website for more information on each night. [EaterWire]
