In the fifth and final dinner of our Chef Meets Brewer series, Eater and Goose Island took over The Macintosh for a five-course feast. Goose Island brewer Taylor Nelson paired six brews with custom creations from The Macintosh's chef, Jeremiah Bacon. There were powerful flavors all around, starting with a house-made burrata with pumpkin seeds, roasted squash, and grilled bread, paired with Goose Island Okotberfest. For dessert? A savory tarte flambe with fromage blanc, caramelized onions, and lardons — paired, of course, with Goose Island Honkers Ale.
