French Revolution Continues With Cafe Framboise on Market Street

More baguettes for everybody?

Erin Perkins is the editor of Eater Carolinas, covering the food and restaurant scene across North and South Carolina.

Last year saw an influx of French restaurants to the Lowcountry and the trends seems to be continuing into 2015. Spotted at 159 Market St. is a sign for Cafe Framboise. First reported by Post and Courier, the new eatery is registered to Dominique Chantepie — who helped open French bakery Saveurs du Monde Cafe in Mount Pleasant.

Based on the logo and sign, Cafe Framboise looks like it will be a casual French-influenced restaurant serving breakfast and lunch to the crowds near the Market.
