More than just a pop-up, Butcher & Bee is setting up a sort of chef-in-residency program this weekend for Atlanta-based chef Hector Santiago. Santiago, of Top Chef fame, was most recently the executive chef of American chophouse Abattoir, and the mind behind the former Latin-influenced El Pollo Burro, Super Pan Latino and Pura Vida.
Santiago will inject additional items to the regular B&B lunch, brunch, and late night offerings. The team at the restaurant gave us a sample menu which included a chili chicken burrito, coconut steam buns, and a Dominican burger with chimichurri sauce. The specials start on Friday and run through Sunday.
Eater Atlanta editor Chris Fuhrmeister says Santiago's pop-up dinners routinely pack the house in Georgia.
