New York restaurateur Danny Meyer (Gramercy Tavern and Shake Shack), visited Charleston this week as part of a conference with regional presidents of Whole Foods stores. Of course, they've got to feed the man, and the vice president of operations for Whole Foods happens to be a big fan of the fare at compact shellfish bar 167 Raw. The group rented out the fresh seafood eatery Wednesday evening and reported nothing but good things.
Thank you for such an inspired evening of pristine tastes from @167_Raw . Can't wait to return next visit to #Charleston !

No word yet if the lobster rolls and raw oysters were inspiring enough to make Meyers set up a Shake Shack in Charleston.
