Welcome to our photo series Eater Scenes, where Eater photographers visit some of the city's great restaurants to capture them at a certain, and very specific, point in the day. Today, Chez Nous at 7:00 p.m. on a Wednesday.
There's something magical about hidden cottage Chez Nous. Couples fall in love, critics swoon about its romantic potential, and with only two people in the kitchen (chefs Jill Mathias and Juan Cassalett), they still put out some of the most-praised plates on the peninsula.
Featuring weathered fixtures, vintage mirrors, and warm interiors, the petite restaurant is prime for enthusiastic documentation. Here is a look at Chez Nous at 7:00p.m. on a recent Wednesday, as seen through the lens of Eater Charleston photographer Rémy Thurston.
