Andolini's Sits Empty as Chicken Salad Chick Leaves

Is it too late to bring back Andolini's?
Erin Perkins is the editor of Eater Carolinas, covering the food and restaurant scene across North and South Carolina.

One of Eater's most shared stories last year was the news of the downtown Andolini's Pizza shutting their doors. The comments flooded in and many of them weren't very complimentary to the parlor's replacement, Alabama-based chain Chicken Salad Chick.

‎Director of marketing at Chicken Salad Chick, Ali Rauch, told reporter Hanna Raskin, they "had some unexpected changes come up with [their] location on Wentworth Street." Since Andolini's left, the building's interiors were gutted, but not much other progress took place. "Coming Soon" posters, announcing the chicken salad eatery were still in the windows, as of last week. [Update: They are still there.] The restaurant now plans to move their location to Summerville.
