Seven seat eatery 167 Raw opened last week, and it's fast becoming one of the most popular restaurants to tweet about this summer. Co-owners Jesse Sandole and Kyle Norton wanted to bring a high-end seafood counter to Charleston, but patrons can't help but sample (and Instagram) chef Sean Rieflin's offerings, like the lobster roll, while visiting the space.
The establishment at 289 East Bay St. is one of the only spots in Charleston to order poke—a traditional Hawaiian dish of raw tuna inspired by Norton's time in Honolulu. The menu and the kitchen may be small, but the team at 167 Raw puts out a superb quality of product.
