Within the foreseeable future, downtown dwellers will be able to have all of their culinary needs met by the team at Butcher & Bee. Craving caffeine? You'll be able to head to The Daily for a cup of Portland-based purveyor Stumptown Coffee Roasters. Want breakfast above the Crosstown? The Workshop will hook you up with a croissant.
Provision store The Daily will be the first to open, later this year, in a space sharing the same parking lot as Butcher & Bee. Owner Michael Shemtov announced today that the store will offer wine, a growler station, fresh juices, grab-and-go sandwiches, and varying products from guest purveyors (think fresh cuts of fish or perhaps Cannonborough Beverage Company sodas). Bean obsessives should be excited that The Daily will partner with Stumptown for their coffee program. Shemtov said that they plan the hours to be from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
The second project from the B&B team, The Workshop, is slated to open late next year. This bakery/café will be located in the Half Mile North development, which currently houses brewpub Edmund's Oast. The Workshop will be home to the baking operations for the group of eateries and other restaurants that B&B supplies. The space will be a destination for those seeking breakfast, lunch, or coffee in the North Morrison area of town.
