Quick Transition From O'Malleys to Public House

Erin Perkins is the editor of Eater Carolinas.

It was just over two weeks ago that Charleston learned that sports bar O'Malleys shut down and King Street Public House would take its place. In that short amount of time, the establishment has reopened with updated branding and a revised menu. The hours of operation, posted on the door, are from 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 a.m., with the kitchen closing at 10:00 p.m.

Post and Courier reported that new owner Jimmy Latulipe didn't want to change much—except the food. The offerings are more sophisticated this time around. Instead of fried mozzarella and chicken fingers, now patrons can order a beet salad or a short rib sandwich. The full menu is published below.
