Previous reports indicated that Cumberland Street pub Egan & Sons would shut down down to rework their concept, but it was revealed yesterday that the owner is putting the restaurant on the market. Writer Hanna Raskin tracked down proprietor Christopher Egan, and he told her that they will reopen after Memorial Day and run with a limited menu and shorter hours until the property sells.
Egan cited a lack of work/life balance and missing time with his family as the reason for the shutter. The space is now available for $1.69 million.
