All of our speculations on Husk/McCrady's chef Sean Brock's new project were off. While Eater guessed Southern, Brock was thinking more south of the border. Perhaps it was all that time eating tacos in Nashville (while at the Music City's Husk), but it appears that the chef's new place will have a Mexican slant. He's also keeping it close to his first restaurant, McCrady's.

In a short press release, today, Brock's team announced:

Neighborhood Dining Group and Chef Sean Brock are excited to announce their newest project in Charleston, SC. The project will open in late Summer 2014. The to-be-named restaurant will be a small establishment adjacent to McCrady's on East Bay Street. It will have a fun atmosphere, affordable menu and casual service. The menu is inspired by the food and culture of Mexico.

Brock's love of micheladas (beers prepared with lime juice and hot sauce) is well-documented, so it's probably safe to assume those may be on the menu.
