Other than the lack of patrons, nothing looked amiss at stylish diner The Rarebit this afternoon. The restaurant shut their doors to potential guests after a small stove fire erupted, this morning, before operating hours.
Managing partner Richard Bloom told Eater that they should be up and running tomorrow, if everything goes well with the post-flame Department of Health and Environmental Control inspection. The Rarebit needed to clean up a bit in the kitchen, but everything else was untouched. Fans of the Moscow Mules and patty melts should be relieved that the eatery will most likely reopen in just over 24 hours.
