Freshii Takes Over 32 Degrees Yogurt Bar [Updated]

Signs posted in the former 32 Degrees Yogurt Bar space announce that "health-casual" chain Freshii will soon be on King Street. Founder and CEO Matthew Corrin has stores all over the United States and Canada [Update: They also have franchises in Europe.] The closest to Charleston is in Charlotte.

Menus are consistent from location to location and focus on "fibre- rich, slow-burning carbs, essential fats, and lean proteins"—think salads, soups, wraps, and grain-heavy breakfasts.

It's worth noting that this neon green-hued eatery is opening just doors down from Charleston's own viridescent healthy dining option, Verde. Therefore, along with the Burrito Gateway, Charleston's shopping district will now have the Battle of the Salads.
