OMG, BB&T CHSW+FF is Soon: Drink & Eat Guides

Photo: Provided

If you're in town for the Charleston Wine + Food Festival, you obviously have plans to get down on some Holy City grub, but the choices can be overwhelming. In between bites at the Culinary Village or the Perfectly Paired Dinners, you may want to get as much goodness in your body as possible, so Eater is here to point out the various guides to eating, drinking, and partying during the events.

Start early on Friday morning with a cheers to the festival, as the first 100 attendees will receive a free cocktail for the 10:30 a.m. toast in Marion Square. From there, check out the Eater Heatmap for the hottest restaurants in Charleston or the Eater 18 for the essentials. Having trouble deciding? City Paper has a handy dandy flowchart of dining establishments.

Once 4:00 p.m. nears, remember happy hours are a legal practice in South Carolina—that's right, the Palmetto State encourages early drinking with deep discounts. You'll find a list of deals on our Cocktail Week map. When those libations turn on you, Eater also has plenty of help for the hangover.

Stalking chefs? Mike Lata of The Ordinary/FIG gives Post & Courier some tips for talking up your favorite culinary personality. If you need an icebreaker, mention one of the Lowcountry's highly anticipated openings.

Best of luck out there and if you haven't nabbed a ticket yet, there's still a few available for various events throughout the weekend.
