ICE CREAM WIRE—Super awesome frozen treat shop Jeni's Splendid Ice Creams announced a Charleston store last December and fans eagerly await their arrival. As a taste of what's to come, they've brought their scoop truck to the Holy City and will set up at The Farmbar on Saturday. From 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., Jeni's will serve their fare in the field at 1600 Meeting St. for dessert-hungry patrons. [Facebook]

BREAKFASTWIRE—Meaty sandwich shop Ted's Butcherblock wants to show off their new breakfast menu, so from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 22, they will host a brunch with beers from Palmetto Brewing on premises. Menu items range from huevos rancheros to a breakfast burger to steak and eggs. [EaterWire]

EVENTWIRE—Wanting to host a big party for all the hard-working back of house restaurant employees, Greg Johnsman of Geechie Boy Mill came up with an idea for a "Charleston Sous Chef Family Meal." He will set up seating at his Edisto Island farm and will serve Boston butts, shrimp and grits, and something called "Bacon Explosion." Johnsman wants to get the word out to all that everyone is invited to join on Sunday, March 23, starting at 4:00 p.m. Guests are encouraged to B.Y.O.A. (bring your own anything). The farm is located at 2295 Highway 174, Edisto Island. [EaterWire]
