The interiors of very soon to open Chez Nous are just as one would imagine from the co-owners of cozy wine bar Bin 152. It's rustic and French, with European style seating, a small bar, and an even tinier upstairs. There are small touches like miniature vintage portraits, aged mirrors, and exposed beams adding to the charm. The bistro is almost hidden, down a gravel alley, and there isn't a sign as of Wednesday, but Eater doesn't imagine that those seeking comfort cuisine or fans of the co-owner's oenophile establishment on King Street will have trouble finding the address.
They officially unlock their doors on March 18. The eatery will open from Tuesday through Sunday, 11:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. and then 5:30 pm to 10:30 pm. Chef Jill Mathias and Juan Cassalett are behind the stove, serving a selection of two appetizers, two entrees and two desserts. Co-owner Patrick Panella tells us, Chez Nous will post menus on Instagram and Facebook, since the menu rotates daily. They don't take reservations, so line up early if you're eager to check out the newest restaurant on the Peninsula.
Before you go, take a look at the photos of the dining rooms on a recent visit.
