Attendees to the Charleston Wine + Food Festival may have overlooked the chilled juices in the corner of the VIP Lounge (sometimes it's difficult to think of fresh-squeezed fruits when tempted by free cocktails), but Eater was intrigued by the labels. The tags on the mini vessels read "The Daily By Butcher & Bee."
Back in January, the owner of lunch and late night stop Butcher & Bee, Michael Shemtov, wasn't ready to announce his newest venture (at that time, spotted in a Board of Architectural Review sheet) at 652 King St., but speculation veered towards a provision store. The branding on the bottles is the first hint at what Shemtov is working on. He tells us, "Juices are a big part of what The Daily is about. We will be offered both grab and go and juices squeezed to order." He says they will utilize the local fruits and vegetables and will eventually look at delivery downtown.
