EVENTWIRE—What could be better than an event named "Bacon & Bourbon?" Not much. Local restaurants, like Poogan's Porch, The Granary, Cru Café , Ted's Butcherblock and more, will offer porky pairings (think bacon-flavored cotton candy) as guests sample various bourbons. Add in mechanical bull riding, laser skeet shooting and confetti prize cannons, and the evening sounds like an adult wonderland. The event is Saturday, February 8, from 6:30 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. at Memminger Auditorium. Tickets are $65 and are available at baconandbourbonsc.com. [EaterWire]
