The above rendering of a proposed restaurant at the corner of King Street and Grove Street looks great, but will continue its rotation with the Charleston Board of Architectural Review hearings after the latest deferment. The retro drive-thru aesthetic would be a welcome change to the aging coin-operated car wash in the neighborhood, but the B.A.R. has yet to approve the building.
The owner is listed as "King & Grove LLC" and is untraceable (at least by Google). However, Eater heard a faint whisper that the proprietors are a very recognizable name in town. If anyone knows, leave hints in the comments or email us the info.
