Newcomer The Park Café wants to fill in all the culinary gaps missing from the Wagener Terrace dining experience. Want a fancy cappuccino without traversing the Crosstown? Check. Need a place for an 8:00 a.m. breakfast meeting in the neighborhood? The eatery can accommodate. Looking for bistro dinner with an European slant? They do that, too.
The all day diner is the work of restaurateur Karalee Nielsen Fallert and veteran F&B worker Xan McLaughlin. Nielsen told us, last November, she wanted the space to be the type of location people would want to visit regularly because of the reasonable price point and the high quality. They opened over a week ago, and the curious crowds continue to line up. For those who haven't visited the former Granville's address, Eater sent photographer Rebecca Gallagher to capture the dining room in all its early morning glory.
