A Little Bit of Leon's for the Day

Erin Perkins is the editor of Eater Carolinas, covering the food and restaurant scene across North and South Carolina.

It's neither a menu, nor a chef reveal, nor a sneak peek at the uniforms, but rather a small piece of decoration at upcoming Leon's Oyster Shop. The pictured tile shows the amount of thought and detail going into the first establishment from the combined minds of Eater Young Gun Brooks Reitz and veteran restaurateur Tim Mink.

Reitz gave Eater a walkthrough of the space and was particularity proud of the oyster bar artwork designed by local creative Becca Barnet. He told us that after searching for seafood-themed squares, it dawned on him that he should contact Barnet. The multimedia maker has worked with several restaurants in town on unique interior touches.

It's just a snippet of the anticipated eatery, but Reitz said there's plenty more interesting details to come.
