2013 was the first time the Food Film Festival made its way to the Lowcountry, and the event is coming back this year. April 24 - 26, ticket holders to the shows will have a chance to experience culinary documentaries and taste what they see on the screen.
Festival director George Motz announced that they would show The Kings of BBQ: Barbecue Kuwait on the opening night of event, aboard the USS Yorktown. The film follows famed pitmasters as they travel to military bases abroad to feed active duty troops. During the screening, guests will be treated to an all-you-can-eat brisket and chicken buffet. There will also be an opportunity to meet champion cooks Johnny Trig, Tuffy Stone, Tommy Houston, and Nicole Davenport. Pre-sale tickets will be available on March 1 and regular sales start on March 12.
