Co-owners of newcomer Tavern & Table, Dianne and Cecil Crowley, know a bit about restaurants. They started the popular Wild Wings chain, own Red's Ice House, and are now bringing a new, more upscale (but not stuffy) option to Mount Pleasant. The recent addition to Shem Creek is place for people who want to enjoy a sophisticated menu, in a laid-back atmosphere, and not need to travel downtown to find it.
Tavern & Table — open today — is the type of eatery where you choose the type of experience you want: the whole family can go, it can be a big night out with friends, or the bar can serve as a quick stop for a snack after boating all day. Chef Katie Lorenzen-Smith created a menu with enough options to be approachable to all, but adventurous enough to satisfy the gourmet eater in the group.
The restaurant is open today from 11:00 a.m. to 11:00 p.m.
