Wherever the brightly-colored Diggity Doughnuts truck parks, a line will form with patrons wanting to get a taste of owner Ambergre Sloan's creations. Most people don't even realize the frosted treats are free of egg and dairy. Today, Sloan turns that popularity into a brick and mortar shop at 616 Meeting St. and opens the doors at 10:00 a.m.

The store's hours are Thursday through Sunday, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sloan tells us,

For this first week we will offer our signature egg & dairy free cake doughnuts in our most popular flavors along with local, organic drip coffee, hot tea, espresso and almond milk lattes. Next week we will add our gluten free doughnuts to the daily menu and soon after that we will add fried pies, Berliners, smoothies, fresh juices and milkshakes.

They have limited seating inside and a cozy deck with more seating outdoors. Stop by soon for a vegan treat.
