Husk Bartender Lends Bourbon Expertise; The Park Cafe Celebrates the Holidays

EVENTWIRE — Devotees of Husk bar know drink-slinger Roderick Weaver's skills behind the bottles of bitters, and, now, a Lexington, Kentucky audience will have a chance to sample his skill. Weaver was tagged by forthcoming Old Bourbon County Kitchen to create a cocktail program, which they will debut to the public on Thursday, December 4. If you happen to be in Lexington, you can get a sneak preview of the bar/restaurant by attending the pre-opening party on December 3, from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Tickets are $50 and go to support the Calipari Foundation, which helps to bolster communities and children's education. EVENTWIRE — Kicking off at 3:00 p.m., on Sunday, December 7, The Park Cafe will host a holiday celebration complete with a bike decorating station and two-wheeled tour of the neighborhood. Bikers should gather at the restaurant at 3:00 p.m. for decorating and then after the tour, are invited to stay for snacks (gingerbread house decorating and a s’mores roasting station) and festive beverages until 7:00 p.m. Price of admission is $10 for adults and $5 for children (kids under 3 are free).
