Braised short rib grilled cheese.

In anticipation of their late November opening, forthcoming Tavern & Table released the menu from chef Katie Lorenzen-Smith yesterday. The offerings lean towards American bistro with a sprinkling of Asian and Latin American influences, reflecting the chef's last position at a restaurant serving "globally-inspired small plates."

The extensive list contains sure-fire options like deviled eggs, pimento cheese with bacon jam, and Brussels sprouts with bacon. And, of course, you can't open a restaurant in the Lowcountry without a charcuterie and cheese plate — those are there. But then there's the intriguing addition of Kung Pao sweetbreads, umami chicken wings, and crispy chicken skin tacos. With four pages of plates, there's something for every type of eater. The entire menu is below.

Tavern & Table predicts a November 24 opening. They are located at 100 Church St. in Mount Pleasant.
