Heavily-anticipated Mount Pleasant restaurant from John Adamson and Brandon Omahoney, The Americano, will greet guests at 819 Coleman Blvd. tonight. Starting at 5:00 p.m., the Latin American-flavored establishment will unlock their doors. Eater Charleston had the early photos, but the menu isn't public yet. There are reports of a soft opening last night, but no snaps of the offerings.

City Paper previously ran a quote from partner Rob Hightower stating chef Edwin French's food "... will have the Caribbean/Cuban base foods like black beans and plantains and then we’ll add in things like tacos and empandas."

If you happen to visit The Americano tonight, leave your thoughts in the comments.
