Harborview Road newcomer Rollin' South Kitchen may look unassuming, but City Paper critic Allston McCrady says:
This is not a Waffle House with laminated combos stained with squeeze-bottle buttery fingerprints. These are basics with a fresh wink, a thinking kitchen whose menus are fresh daily off the printer because they keep changing.
McCrady finds simple fare made really well. She's impressed the pastrami is smoked in-house and there's from-scratch apple butter. The menu is basic diner fare but done really well.
