The most recent wine bar to open up in Mount Pleasant is very, very close to unlocking their doors. Abigail and Clement Batut, owners of Ardoa Wine Bar, say they hope to welcome patrons at 1960 Riviera Dr., in Mount Pleasant, by Tuesday or Wednesday of next week.

Abigail tells Eater that the primary focus is "to provide our guests with an innovative new way to sample premium wine by the glass." Ardoa will utilize a computerized self-serve system. The owners explain:

Using interactive self-serve wine systems, customers will have the opportunity to sample different wines ranging in price, taste, color, and origin. These Wine Systems conserve and protect wine, so every glass that is poured taste like the first glass! With temperature control, each glass of wine is poured at the optimum serving temperature. Easy to use touch screen menu selections, allow you to choose your serving size. Whether you just want a taste (1 ounce), a bit more (2.5 ounces), or a full glass (5 Ounces). If customers find a wine they love, we have bottles available to drink here or take home.

The bar will offer food pairings for the beverages, like various cheeses, foie gras, pâtés, and desserts. They expect the hours to be from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m., with adjustments going forward.
