THE ORDINARY WIRE—Chef Mike Lata and team announced the launch of an affordable daily special dubbed "The Ordinaries" (at The Ordinary), as they hinted at in a previous interview. Lata stated, "You could come in and say 'I'll have The Ordinary' and have a full meal and it would be the best value." Sunday, January 18 marks the first plat du jour for the raw bar on Upper King, which will encompass a "Southern-style fritto misto" with soup or salad, sides and a dessert for $35. [EaterWire]

EVENTWIRE—Meet the brewer behind Stillwater Artisanal Ales, sample some beers and chow on tasty snacks, like salt and pepper pork belly with cherry mostarda, next Thursday, January 23, for only $10. Craftsmen Kitchen & Taphouse will host the meet and greet event, starting at 5:00 p.m. [Facebook]
