Small Plates and Craft Cocktails at Zero George

Erin Perkins is the editor of Eater Carolinas.

Those looking for à la carte appetizers or a glass of wine away from the King Street crowds should seek out Zero George Street Hotel's newest project, Zero Café + Bar. The luxury guest house will open their restaurant for the first time tomorrow at 6 p.m. and serve guests Thursdays through Saturdays from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. Once the nearby Gaillard Center opens, Eater imagines this cozy cocktail spot will be packed with arts patrons pre- and post-performance.

Former instructor at Culinary Institute of Charleston chef Randy Williams will source local and seasonal ingredients for the small plate style fare. A peek at the sample menu reveals dishes such as a salad of heirloom tomatoes, a few delicate seafood plates and trio of local corn featuring a Geechie Boy johnnycake. The bistro style cafe will also offer desserts for those searching for an after-dinner destination.
