New Brewery Alert: Olde Charlestowne

Charleston beer connoisseurs are fiercely loyal to local brews, and it appears they can anticipate another brewery to covet in the Lowcountry. Olde Charlestowne Brewing Company is the newest malt and hops processor with plans to settle into the Holy City. The company "team members," as they call themselves, include Matt Lagor, Taylor Pitts and Jack Pitts. The brewers are currently seeking a permanent location in West Ashley but are constantly practicing their beer producing skills. The trio participated in the Holy City Brewing/Mellow Mushroom Iron Brew competition for home brewers and finished in the top five for the event. The crew at Olde Charlestown hopes to be operational in time for the 2015 craft beer mega event Brewvival.
