City Paper's Eric Doksa checked out the new incarnation of Mount Pleasant's Kanpai, which is now owned by former O-Ku and Bambu chef Sean Park. Doksa found "masterfully designed dishes," but also uninformed servers and a space in need of some work. He noted, "If [Park] can clear his palette of all distractions, delegate, and decorate, Kanpai could be a masterpiece." [CP]
