Last week, the debate raged about which Charleston restaurant was most underrated. This week, the limelight is on something a little hotter: fries. Specifically, finding out which restaurants in town are serving up the best golden slivers of fried potatoes.

Some swear by Southern food experts The Glass Onion's take on French fries, which are served with a side of Bernaise, and plenty has been written about the duck fat-fried ones at uptown's Tattooed Moose. But there are others. Last year, a Garden & Gun editor named the fries at Moe's as one of the best bites of the year and the frites at Rue de Jean are often buzzed about.

So, Eater readers, what do you think? Who's making the best fries in the Holy City? Leave your favorites in the comments.
