The former executive sous chef of downtown's Circa 1886 Matthew Pleasants will be the chef and manager at the forthcoming King Street breakfast and lunch spot Kitchen 208. According to a Facebook update by Circa 1886's executive chef Marc Collins, the two are collaborating on the menu for the new restaurant. The post, which was also a call out to nominate Pleasants for Eater's own Young Gun awards, noted the 26-year-old chef also worked at Chicago's Graham Elliot and was named Best Chef in Winston-Salem.
An employee at Charming Inns, the company that operates both establishments and the Wentworth Mansion, said Kitchen 208 is aiming to open this April.
