Welcome to our photo series Eater Scenes, where Eater photographers visit some of the city's great restaurants to capture them at a certain, and very specific, point in the day. Today, brunch at Hominy Grill.
Sunday brunch at downtown's Hominy Grill is an institution. Seventeen years after they opened, the crowds still line up outside to get some of James Beard Award-winning Robert Stehling's shrimp and grits, Lowcountry omelettes and the often-heralded Big Nasty. Eater photographer Praneendra Kuver stopped by during the brunch sweet spot, just before the crowds got thick, on Sunday at 10:30 a.m.
