Yes, downtown has a $12 three-course lunch option, and this week Art Mag's Marcus Amaker gives the deal at 24 North Market the once over. There are a couple caveats, like its limited hours (catch them for lunch only on Thursdays and Fridays from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.) the fact that it's a student-run, chef-supervised operation. But the budget-conscious shouldn't click away just yet.
Amaker writes, "My recent visit to the restaurant left me satisfied and impressed with the students' attention to detail." The menu changes every couple of weeks, and features a few choices for for each course, with entrees like a blackened catfish po boy and pulled pork with mac and cheese. As he puts it, "...best of all? It will cost you a little more than one cocktail costs at other restaurants in town."
