Bon Appétit declared Sean Brock's Husk (the original location, no advanced praise for the Nashville location yet) the third most important restaurant in the country, just behind the Momofuku empire and The Restaurant at Meadowood in Napa.
Of Sean Brock's hyper-celebrated restaurant BA adds,
"Brock is also an evangelist for the Southern pantry. Everything he serves in this elegant 19th-century mansion comes from below the Mason-Dixon line, including many rare fruits and vegetables he cultivates himself.
In 2011, BA editor Andrew Knowlton trumpeted Husk as the best new restaurant in the U.S., mentioning "Brock is a helluva cook." Check out Eater National's analysis of the latest list over here.
