Is The Green Door Making a Comeback?

In case you missed it, The Green Door—winner of this year's "Saddest Closing"—hinted at a resurrection on Facebook last night. The post stated, "Exciting things in the works!!! Mark your calendars now for Thursday, December 19th from 6pm-11pm...not in pencil, in Sharpie!" The eatery was prematurely shuttered on October 21 after a difference in opinion/taste with the building's owner.

Eater asked owner of the former restaurant Cory Burke if he wanted to say anything more, but he hinted that more details would come out on Friday and to expect "something real exciting in the works." Could it be a pop-up dinner? Perhaps a new opening? Stay tuned.
