Erin Perkins is the editor of Eater Carolinas, covering the food and restaurant scene across North and South Carolina.

Eater asked for tips on where to find the magical brown liquid Pappy Van Winkle in local bars and a few places were added to the list. The bourbon seems popular with the downtown set as The Macintosh, Cypress, The Rarebit, The Belmont, Hank's Seafood Restaurant, Bay Street Biergarten and Warehouse stock the liquor. Husk (where one can usually assume has an allocation of bottles) chef Sean Brock was quoted in The New York Times as stating, "It's the most complex bourbon you've ever tasted, but it's smooth as silk."
[UPDATE: Proof, The Charleston Grill, Thoroughbred Club and Rutledge Cab Company can also pour a glass for patrons.]
