Culinary Masterminds Take Over Charleston

Erin Perkins is the editor of Eater Carolinas.

Not to get all celebrity rag TMZ stalker on the chefs visiting for Cook It Raw, but there is a certain curiosity on their whereabouts and doings while visiting the Holy City. It seems the festivities kicked off this weekend with some Lowcountry fare consisting of oysters, grouper, grits and Carolina Gold rice. On October 19, most of the crew arrived, and the Cook It Raw Tumblr posted, "There is no better way to bring people together than sitting down to break bread, and on this hauntingly hot and humid evening we will prepare a feast fit for kings at our Folly Beach headquarters."

It looks like Sunday, October 20 was a very busy day for the team as culinary celebrities were spotted all around the Lowcountry. Barcelona chef Albert Adria and Tulum chef Eric Werner finished the grill at Bowens Island for BBQ Perspectives on October 26. NYC's Spotted Pig chef April Bloomfield arrived at The Battery. And then everyone went for a hunt.

Be sure to let Eater know if any international chefs are spotted out and about this week. Perhaps they can be found in the same bars and restaurants that the rest of Charleston enjoys.
