Diners Stealing The Rarebit's Copper Mugs by the Dozen

The Rarebit, the sixties racetrack-themed bar that serves breakfast all day, has been hot straight out of the gate, with the crowds jammed in there on weekends. Turns out, their copper mugs, in which they serve top-notch Moscow Mules, are another hot little item. For thieves, that is.

Owner John Adamson says a whopping 20 mugs have been hijacked since he opened the place 26 days ago. The disappearing act has got to hurt, given that the vessels cost $40 a pop. Rumor has it four kids stole a bunch last week, and then went down the street to Midtown Bar and Grill and shamelessly asked the bartenders there to fill 'em up.

Cup-related questions abound: When will this mugging madness stop? Will The Rarebit be forced to start a mug club to keep track of their copper? Will the thieves return to the scene of the crime for refills on the vodka and limeade-y goodness? If you know more, hit up the tipline.
