The much-anticipated concept once known as Rutledge Grill is opening in all its charcuterie and cocktail-y glory in under an hour. Rutledge Cab Co., Chef Robert Carter and managing partner Brad Creger's answer to hungry upper peninsula denizens, is arriving on the scene this very evening at 5pm.

Rutledge Cab Co. is bringing a 70-seat patio to north of the Crosstown neighborhood Wagener Terrace, and a bar that's shaking up cocktails like the "Welcome Back Carter." The interior, which is no longer a mystery, has seating for 60 and art that brings the retro cab concept to life.

As for the fare, a press release shed light on a few more dishes:

Other menu highlights include a shredded lamb pizza with goat cheese, toasted pistachios and fresh herbs; beer-poached spiced shrimp with pickled onion and lime; RCC French onion soup with rye croutons and gruyere; a shrimp-cake sandwich on traditional bánh mì bread; the Fillin' Station charcuterie platter; a smoked pork chop with peach relish; and a classic burger.
Carter's other restaurant, Carter's Kitchen in Mount Pleasant, opened just under a year ago and was a hit from the start. The expectations are already high for the new watering hole, which drew at least one local bearded celebrity during its soft opening. Wagener Terrace, you've made it.
